29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(i): Portable cord and plug connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) were not visually inspected before use on any shift for external defects (such as loose parts, deformed and missing pins, or damage to outer jacket or insulation) and for evidence of possible internal damage (such as pinched or crushed outer jacket): (a) Building 1, Red Steel Column to the Left Front of Truck Body Powder Coat Booth 1 - The power cord had become damaged, where it entered the motor housing, on the portable Air King fan, exposing employees to an electrical hazard, on or about March 8, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
