29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Second floor production room Instance A: A guard on the BIMA 300 CNC machine was removed, thereby exposing employees to point of operation, struck-by, and caught between hazards. Instance B: The interlock on the BIMA CNC machine had been disabled thereby exposing employees to point of operation, struck-by and caught between hazards. Instance C: Interlocks on the IMA edge bander were disabled opened allowing access to points of operation and rotating shaft hazards. Instance D: Employees riding the vertical conveyor were exposed to fall and struck-by related hazards. Instance E: Employees are exposed to a struck-by and caught between hazard while operating the cabinet press.
