29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: Employees engaged in maintenance and repair activities including grinding at the Baldor Buffer/Grinder Cat #1251, Spec #G12-91-1 P2-94, HP 2, Phase 1, 60 Hz, 115/230V, 19/9.5A, 3600 RPM located in the maintenance shop area were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the distance from the abrasive wheel to the adjustable tongue guard was found to be approximately 2 inches. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
