29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: In the Maintenance Shop, employees engaged in maintenance activities at the Jet Pedestal Grinder and tongue guard was adjusted to approximately 1 1/4 of inch from the grinding wheel, exposing employees to struck by and caught in hazards. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at time of inspection, no certification is required.
