29 CFR 1910.179(b)(5): The rated load of crane(s) was not plainly marked on each side of the crane and crane(s) with more than one hoisting unit did not have the rated load marked on each hoisting unit or load block. These violations occurred on or about January 30, 2020: a. In the structural shop, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the overhead crane CR 7 had two hoisting units and hoist B was not marked with its rated load. b. In the structural shop, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the overhead crane CR 9 did not have the rated load marked on both sides of the bridge. c. In the structural shop, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the overhead crane CR 10 did not have the rated load marked on both sides of the bridge. d. In the structural shop, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the overhead crane CR 10 had two hoisting units and the eastern most unit was not marked with its rated load.
