29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(12): 29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(12): Unprotected sides and edges of stairway landings were not provided with guardrail systems. Guardrail system criteria are contained in Subpart M of 29 CFR 1926. On or about 17 October 2019, and at times prior thereto, stairways had unprotected sides and edges that were not provided with guardrail systems, exposing workers to a fall hazard. A) The stairway located on the east side of the building had a guardrail system missing at the upper landing, exposing workers to a fall hazard of approximately 14-feet 1-inch to the slab below. B) The stairway located near the middle of the restaurant had a guardrail system missing at the upper landing, exposing workers to a fall hazard of approximately 11-feet 1-inch to the stair risers below.
