29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: a) On or about 7/11/2018, Loading Room: A 1.5 inch diameter rotating shaft associated with an egg shell auger extended 2.25 inches, no guarding was in place. b) On or about 7/11/2018, Peeling Room: A 1.5 inch diameter rotating shaft with a protruding set screw extended 1.5 inches with no guard. This shaft extended from an egg auger. Abatement certification is required for these items.
