29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Examination. Electric equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined using the following considerations: 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(iv): Electrical insulation. a. On or about June 6, 2018, in the East bay, the outer protective insulation on the extension cord used to power the Wagner portable sprayer (model: 0277063; S/N: M9600622) located in the demarcated spraying area was damaged and had an exposed bare conductor under the electrical tape. The extension cord was covered with paint overspray.
