29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to provide and insure the usage of "point of operation guards" or properly applied and adjusted point of operation devices on every operation performed on a mechanical power press; a) On or about May 29, 2018 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place on the number 2 Danly 110 ton. The back of the press was not guarded to prevent employees from reaching the hazardous area. b) On or about May 29, 2018 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place on the number 3 Danly 110 ton. The back of the press was not guarded to prevent employees from reaching the hazardous area. c) On or about May 29, 2018 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place on the number 4 Johnson 125 ton. The back of the press was not guarded to prevent employees from reaching the hazardous area. d) On or about May 29, 2018 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place on the number 5 Johnson 80 ton. The back of the press was not guarded to prevent employees from reaching the hazardous area. e) On or about May 29, 2018 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place on the Komatsu 200 ton. The back of the press was not guarded to prevent employees from reaching the hazardous area. f) On or about May 29, 2018 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place on the Komatsu 150 ton.
