29 CFR 1910.253(b)(5)(ii)(I): Cylinders were not kept far enough away from the actual welding or cutting operation so that sparks, hot slag or flame would not reach them, or fire resistant shields were not provided. a) Torch Cutting Area: On May 9, 2018 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards in that oxygen cylinders and fuel-gas cylinders such as Liquefied Petroleum Gas were not kept away from cutting operations, hot slag, sparks and/or flame as required.
