29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Machine Shop- Secondary Department, Clausing Drill Press, where employees were exposed to amputation and flying metal chip hazards from the rotating drill. (b) Machine Shop- Secondary Department, Rockwall Drill Press, where employees were exposed to amputation and flying metal chip hazards from the rotating drill. (c) Machine Shop-CNC Department, Craftsman Drill Press, where employees were exposed to amputation and flying metal chip hazards from the rotating drill. (d) Machine Shop, Rockwall Delta Vertical Belt Sander, where employees were exposed to unguarded ingoing and outgoing nip point hazards, and flying metal chip hazards from the belt sander.
