29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: a) Assembly Department HPS test and pack cell 1: A power strip was zip tied to other power cords and used to power items such as, but not limited to, battery chargers, heat guns, power wrenches, torque guns, other power strips, and testing equipment, on or about 9/19/17. b) Assembly Department Shaker Assembly Area: A power strip was used to power items such as, but not limited to, battery chargers, heat guns, power wrenches, torque guns, other power strips, and testing equipment, on or about 9/19/17. c) Assembly Department Test and Pack Cell 1: Three unmounted 4x4 outlet boxes were used as hanging pendants and used to power test equipment, on or about 9/19/17. d) Assembly Department Test and Pack Cell 4: An unmounted 4x4 outlet box in the test area was used as a hanging pendant and used to power test equipment, on or about 9/19/17. e) Machine Shop near Haas #2 CNC machine: A power strip was used to power a pedestal fan, on or about 9/19/17. f) Machine Shop back wall near Hardinge turret: A power strip was used to power a chop saw and a disc sander, on or about 9/19/17. g) Machine Shop back of CNC Mill: An unmounted 4x4 outlet box was used as a hanging pendant and powered two fans and an extension cord that powered a power strip, on or about 9/19/17. h) Machine Shop manual tool area: A power strip was used to power a belt sander, on or about 9/19/17. i) Machine Shop Hardinge lathe #16: An umounted 4x4 outlet box was used as a hanging pendant and powered a fan, on or about 9/19/17. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
