29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about 2/24/2016 in the plant houses at 1501 Dials Mill Road, Statham, GA: Employees were exposed to a chemical burn and frost bite hazard while changing out propane chemicals on the powered industrial trucks without the use of proper hand protection.
