29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level: a) Patco Area, Strip and Wash Building, on or about 12/1/15: An employee MIG welding the undercarriage of a rail car was exposed to 173 micrograms per cubic meter of lead as an 8-hr. time weighted average (TWA), 3.5 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter, during the 415 minute sampling period. A zero increment was included for the 65 minutes not sampled. No initial determination for exposure to lead was made. Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item
