29 CFR 1910.179(n)(3)(x): The employer shall insure that the operator does not leave his position at the controls while the load is suspended. a. On or about July 16, 2015, located in the paint booth, a load was left suspended by an overhead crane without an operator at the controls so the load could be painted, thereby exposing the employee to a struck-by hazard.
