29 CFR 1910.1052(e)(1): The employer did not establish a regulated area wherever an employee's exposure to airborne concentrations of methylene chloride exceeded or could reasonably be expected to exceed either the 8-hour Time Weighted Average Permissible Exposure Limit or the Short Term Exposure Limit: a) Electro Chemical Engineering - 571 Sheet Application Trailer - On or about January 13, 2017, an employee, a Liner/Painter, was exposed to at an eight hour time weighted average of 31 PPM. This level is 1.25 times the time weighted average permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 25 ppm. The employer did not establish the 571 sheet application trailer as a regulated area. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
