29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2) and (3) on hazardous chemicals in their work at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard was introduced into their work area: Saker ShopRites, Inc. dba World Class Kitchens/Linden, NJ - Facility/Prep Area: Employees were not provided with information and training on hazards associated with handling of hazardous chemicals used within the facility. Employees work with chemicals such as, but not limited to: a) LAC100 (which contains sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide) b) Chlor Machine Dish Detergent (which contains sodium carbonate, sodium tripoly phosphate, and sodium sulfate), c) IPC 400 (which contains sodium hydroxide), d) Alpha Bac 10 (which contains alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides and alkyl dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chlorides), e) Green Suds (which contains sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate), etc. Condition observed on or about December 6, 2013.
