29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i):Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings shall be effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment. (a)Rapid Packaging Company, Inc. at 1310 West 7th Avenue, Brookings, SD 57006: On or about and at times prior to January 7, 2025, the employer did not ensure that an opening in an electrical panel was effectively closed, in that knockouts on the electrical box on the General Gluer were open. This condition exposed employees to shock and electrocution hazards.
