29 CFR 1910.213(c)(3):Hand-fed ripsaw(s) did not have non kickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator: (a)On or about March 21, 2024, the employer did not ensure that the Powermatic MT ripsaw was equipped with an anti-kickback device to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up material or throw material at the operator, exposing them to struck-by hazards. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
