29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s) At building 21, employees engaged in spray painting and welding activities are exposed to chemical hazards in that Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are not available on site. 1) Spray painter employees uses HS Moly Gray paint. According to the SDS, HS Moly Gray, is a flammable liquid and vapor, may cause an allergic skin reaction, may cause drowsiness or dizziness, may cause genetic defects, may cause cancer, may cause damage to organs through prolongated or repeated exposure. 2) Welding shop employees uses Weld- Kleen 350 Anti-Splatter. Oleic acid is present in Weld-Kleen 350 Anti-Splatter. Exposure to Oleic acid could result in temporary irritation on eyes it gets in contact.
