29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i): The employer did not provide and ensure the usage of point of operation guards or properly applied point of operation devices on every operation performed on mechanical power press(es); On or about July 10, 2020 through July 14, 2020 the employer failed to ensure that point of operation guarding was in place or functioning properly to provided protection to both operators and others from the hazardous area. The light curtains on the Aida 300 ton press did not function in order to effectively protect employees. The press was run in continuous mode after suppression of two hand control devices.
