29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: On or about February 28, 2019, the employer failed to ensure employees were protected from stuck by and caught in between hazards when using bench grinders, to include but not limited to the Baldor bench grinder, serial # F1085. The distance between the adjustable tongue/guard and the top of the grinder had an opening measuring 2 inches which is greater than the allowable 1/4 inch.
