29 CFR 1910.37(b)(5): Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit was not marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use (e.g. closet): Employees were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment when trying to exit through doors which were not marked "Not an Exit": a) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 145, Air Lab, having approximately 2 employees working in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to an office which were not marked "Not an Exit". b) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 145, Air Lab, having approximately 2 employees working in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to bathroom which were not marked "Not an Exit". c) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 140, Maintenance Shop having approximately 7 employees working at any one time in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to office which were not marked "Not an Exit". d) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 160, Paint Booth having approximately 3 employees working at any one time in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door from Paint Booth to Mixing Room which were not marked "Not an Exit". e) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 160, Paint Booth having approximately 3 employees working at any one time in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to Paint Room which were not marked "Not an Exit". f) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 165, X-Ray Department, having approximately 2 employees working at all times in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a doors that leads to three offices none of which are identified which were not marked "Not an Exit". g) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 165, X-Ray Department, having approximately 2 employees working at all times in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to bathroom which were not marked "Not an Exit". h) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 165, X-Ray Department, having approximately 2 employees working at all times in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to X-Ray room which were not marked "Not an Exit". i) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 210, Warehouse having approximately 6-8 employees working at any time in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door which were not marked "Not an Exit". j) On or about May 31, 2016, Building 170, Shipping Department, having approximately 3-4 employees working at any time in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to office which were not marked "Not an Exit". k) On or about May 31, 2016 Building 170, Shipping Department, having approximately 3-4 employees working at any time in that department were exposed to fire hazards or entrapment hazards when trying to exit through a door to bathroom which were not marked "Not an Exit".
