29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(i)(G): Fork and attachment adaptation, operation, and use limitations; a. On or about December 28, 2023, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that powered industrial truck (forklift) operators in the Battery Room were trained on the proper operation and use limitations of the Hercules Industries forklift attachment (Capacity: 6000 lbs.) and Sackett Systems Inc. hoist attachment (Capacity: 4000 lbs.) to lift and move batteries with the forklifts. As a result, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.
