29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: In the welding shop, employees performing welding activities were exposed to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Pittsburgh Paints and Stains Grand Distinction Paint and Primer which is an eye irritant and may cause cancer; and Chromium (VI) which is skin irritant, respiratory irritant, and may cause cancer in that the employer failed to provide information and training on hazardous chemicals in the work place at the employee(s) initial assignment or whenever a new hazardous chemical is introduced to the workplace.
