29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. a) Maaco - On or about September 2, a fuel-gas cylinder was being stored side by side with oxygen cylinders in Prep Area. The fuel gas cylinder was not separated from the oxygen cylinder by at least 20 feet and had no combustible barrier between them, exposing employees to compressed gas hazards, as well as burn hazards from fire and explosion. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
