29 CFR 1910.141(d)(3)(i): Whenever showers were required by a particular standard, the showers shall be provided in accordance with paragraphs (d)(3)(ii) through (v) of this section. a. Change Room - The employer did not provide shower facilities to an employee exposed to airborne concentrations of inorganic lead that exceeded the permissible exposure limit of fifty micrograms per cubic meter of air averaged over an 8-hour period showers were not provided with showers facilities in accordance with paragraphs (d)(3)(ii) through (v) of the standard. An employee, who was performing torch burning of metal scrap, was exposed to 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) of 0.08550 milligrams per cubic meter of airborne lead during a 384 minutes occupational exposure. The 8-hour TWA employee exposure was 17.1times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 0.050 milligrams per cubic meter. The violation was noted on March 7, 2019.
