29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: a. On or about 02/28/2017 in the install shop the employees were exposed to a struck by hazard in that pedestal bench grinder did not have a tongue guard on the abrasive wheel grinder while grinding metal parts. b. On or about 02/28/2017 in the fabrication shop, employees were exposed to a struck by hazard in that the Dayton 8 inch abrasive wheel grinder did not have a tongue guard wheel while grinding metal parts.
