29 CFR 1910.219(e)(1)(i): Horizontal belts which had both runs 42 inches or less from the floor level were not fully enclosed by guards conforming to requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o): (a) Employees were exposed to amputation hazards from the 500 Machine manufactured by Vicon Machinery. Employees were exposed to ingoing nippoints from belts and pulleys which were not fully enclosed within 42 inches from the floor. Conveyor sections of the 500 Machine had horizontal belts which were not fully enclosed. On or about February 3, 2017 an employee received a partial amputation of their finger when the employee's hand got caught in the rotating shaft, and horizontal belts and pulleys while operating the 500 Machine. (b) Employees were exposed to amputation hazards from the Old Collar Line manufactured by Vicon Machinery. Employees were exposed to ingoing nippoints from belts and pulleys which were not fully enclosed. Conveyor sections of the Old Collar Line had horizontal belts with both runs within 42 inches from the floor which were not fully enclosed.
