29 CFR 1910.1052(c)(2): The employer did not ensure that no employee was exposed to an airborne concentration of methylene chloride in excess of 125 parts per million as determined over a sampling period of 15 minutes: a) Electro Chemical Engineering - 571 Sheet Application Trailer - An employee, a Liner/Painter, was exposed to a methylene chloride short-term concentration of 140 ppm. This level is 1.13 times the permissible exposure short term exposure limit (STEL) of 125 ppm. This exposure occurred over a 40 minute sampling period on January 13, 2017. The employer did not ensure that employees were not exposed methylene chloride over 125 ppm for a 15 minute sampling period. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
