29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program is not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting: Location: Facility The violation was observed on November 28th, 2016, when employees were exposed to fire hazards from large accumulations of combustible wood material, and they were not trained on the use of fire extinguishers and the hazards of incipient stage fire fighting, nor did the employer instruct the employees to evacuate the building in case of fire. To abate this violations, the employer must ensure that: a) Employees are trained on the use of fire extinguishers, or b) If employees are not expected to use the devices, a fire prevention plan in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.39, and an emergency action plan in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.38, are developed and implemented.
