29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a) Sandblasting area, on or about 2/10/1 :Sandblasters overexposed to silica did not use engineering or administrative controls to keep dust levels low so as to minimize exposure to silica. Acceptable engineering controls include, but are not limited to, using high efficiency vacuum to replace dry sweeping; an acceptable administrative control includes, but is not limited to, utilizing a housekeeping program with more frequent cleaning that doesn't allow for excessive dust build-up on surfaces, maintaining the area free from accumulations of dust over a period of time. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item
