29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): A program of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power press(es) was not established and followed to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment: At the time of inspection the employer did not have a program in place for the regular inspections of the mechanical power presses used throughout the facility. Safety hazards that could have been recognized by these inspections includes, but is not limited to, point of operation guarding, foot pedal covers, and flywheel guarding.
