29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables shall be protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points. a. On or before March 14, 2012, the employer failed to ensure that the power cable was protected in that it was damaged with exposed interior wiring insulation due to being run over by the Nestaflex machine, thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard.
