29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l). Throughout the facility The employer is failing to ensure that all employees operating powered industrial trucks at the facility are adequately trained in accordance with the requirements of this subpart, including but not limited to 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(2)(ii) and topics required per 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(G), (J) and (M). There is also no documented evaluations in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(2)(ii) and 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6). Employees operate these vehicles without the requisite knowledge to operate them in a safe manner. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
