29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii):The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form: a) Plating Room: On March 27, 2024 and prior to; employees involved with the electrochemical plating process are using hazardous chemicals to include but not limited to; chromic acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, boric acid, and lacquer. The preparation of metal parts involves preparing solutions, plating station set-up, dipping, and drying. b) Main Shop: On March 27, 2024 and prior to; employees involved with the electrochemical plating process are using hazardous chemicals to include but not limited to; chromic acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, boric acid, and lacquer. The preparation of metal parts involves cutting, grinding, and polishing. c) Polishing Room: On March 27, 2024 and prior to; employees involved with the electrochemical plating process are using hazardous chemicals to include but not limited to; chromic acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, boric acid, and lacquer. The preparation of metal parts involves grinding, and polishing. d) Chemical Storage Room: On March 27, 2024 and prior to; employees involved with the electrochemical plating process are using hazardous chemicals to include but not limited to; chromic acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, boric acid, and lacquer.
