29 CFR 1910.272(j)(1):The employer did not develop and implement a written housekeeping program that established the frequency and the method(s) determined best to reduce accumulations of fugitive grain dust on ledges, floors, equipment, and other exposed areas: (a)Global Harvest Foods, LLC at 103 South Broadway Avenue, Miller, SD 57362: On or about and at times prior to January 4, 2024, the employer did not ensure that a written housekeeping program was established to best reduce accumulations of fugitive grain dust on floors, fixtures, machinery and lighting in depths that can present explosion, deflagration or other fire hazards in the Sunflower Cleaning Building. This condition exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards. (b)Global Harvest Foods, LLC at 103 South Broadway Avenue, Miller, SD 57362: On or about and at times prior to January 4, 2024, the employer did not ensure that a written housekeeping program was established to best reduce accumulations of fugitive grain dust on floors, fixtures, machinery and lighting in depths that can present explosion, deflagration or other fire hazards in the Corn Crack room.
