29 CFR 1910.1025(j)(1)(i): The employer did not institute a medical surveillance program for all employees who are or may be exposed at or above the action level for more than 30 days per year: Location: Mirion Technologies (Capintec), Inc., 7 Vreeland Road, Florham Park, NJ a) The employer did not institute a medical surveillance program for employees who are exposed to lead higher than the action level for 30 days or more per year. On May 8, 2023, an employee sanding shielding materials in the machine room was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 120 micrograms per cubic meter of air as an 8 hour Time Weighted Average exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.4 times, and the action level of 30 micrograms per cubic meter of air, by 4.2 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 66 minutes. The shielding material used contained 99.99 percent lead. Violation occurred on or about May 8, 2023.
