29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: At building 21, employees engaged in spray painting and welding activities are exposed to chemical hazards and have not received proper training on hazardous chemicals: 1) At small and big paint booth, spray-painters uses HS Moly Gray pain and the Red 0070 Pre Clean Citrus. According to the SDS, HS Moly Gray, is a flammable liquid and vapor, may cause an allergic skin reaction, may cause drowsiness or dizziness, may cause genetic defects, may cause cancer, may cause damage to organs through prolongated or repeated exposure. Red 0070 is flammable, harmful if inhaled, may affect the brain or nervous systems, causes dizziness, headache or nausea. 2) Welding shop employees uses Weld- Kleen 350 Anti-Splatter. Oleic acid is present in Weld-Kleen 350 Anti-Splatter. Exposure to Oleic acid could result in temporary irritation on eyes it gets in contact.
