29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): The employer did not follow a program of periodic and regular inspections of his power presses to ensure that all their parts, auxiliary equipment, and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment: Instances including, but not limited to, the following: a) Job site, 33 McGovern Road, Crescent, PA: On or about November 23, 2019, during production activities on the Torc-Pac part revolution press number 11, serial number 57-7135, located in building 4, the employer did not ensure that an appropriate system of inspections was implemented to keep machinery in safe operating condition. Deficiencies noted during the inspection included, but were not limited to, repeated press ghost/double cycles not being properly repaired and failing to ensure that the control mode selector switch was capable of being supervised. b) Job site, 33 McGovern Road, Crescent, PA: On or about November 23, 2019, hands in die during production activities on the Warco part revolution press number 2, serial number 5346, located in building 4, the employer did not ensure that an appropriate system of inspections was implemented to keep machinery in safe operating condition. Deficiencies noted during the inspection included, but were not limited to, failing to ensure that an appropriate brake monitor system was installed and in use on the press and not ensuring that compliant machine guarding was provided for the operator.
