29 CFR 1910.305(j)(1)(ii): Handlamps of the portable type supplied through flexible cords shall be equipped with a handle of molded composition or other material identified for the purpose, and a substantial guard shall be attached to the lampholder or the handle. Metal shell, paper-lined lampholders may not be used. a) On 2/5/2019 the employer did not ensure that a portable hand lamp was properly guarded to prevent accidental contact or damage to the bulb, exposing employees to a burn hazard.
