29 CFR 1910.255(b)(4): All press welding machine operations, where there was a possibility of the operator's fingers being under the point of operation, were not effectively guarded by use of a device such as an electronic eye safety circuit, two hand controls or protection similar to that prescribed for punch press operation, 1910.217 of this part. (a) On August 17, 2018 and times prior thereto; the Acme, S/N 4664 spot welder was not provided with guarding. (b) On August 17, 2018 and times prior thereto; the Acme, S/N 13404 spot welder was not provided with guarding. (c) On August 17, 2018 and times prior thereto; the Acme, S/N 7944 spot welder was not provided with guarding. (d) On August 17, 2018 and times prior thereto; the CE, S/N GN324002 spot welder was not provided with guarding. NOTE: Abatement certification IS required for this item.
