29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i): The employee training did not include the methods and observations used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area (Agriculture Reference: 1928.21(a)(5)): The employer failed to provide chemical hazard communication training on methods and observations used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area. Training was not provided for exposure during swine management duties to decomposition gas(es), such as, but not limited to, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and methane, generated from the decomposition of animal waste. Abatement documentation is required for this violation.
