29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Space about electric equipment. Sufficient access and working space shall be provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. a. Located in the basement, mounted on the South wall in the West corner, an electrical panel that was used to supply power to printing equipment and common work areas did not have sufficient working space due stored cardboard boxes directly in front of the panel which did not allow for ready and safe operation of the electrical equipment. b. Located in the basement, mounted on the wall next to the sump pump, an electrical panel that was used to supply power to printing equipment and common work areas had its access blocked by stored cardboard boxes, which did not allow for ready and safe operation of the electrical equipment. c. Located in the basement, mounted on a structural beam behind the Pro-Cut Model 320 hydraulic paper cutter , there was a 480 volt disconnect that supplied electrical power to the paper cutter. The electrical disconnect was blocked by a table and storage racks, which did not allow access to the electrical disconnect if an emergency occurred with the equipment and electrical power had to be immediately removed.
