29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees are not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees are trained for is introduced into their work area: On or about March 17, 2017 and times prior thereto, the employer does not provide effective information and training to employees exposing employees to the hazard of physical contact with hazardous chemicals. a) Custodial employees do not receive effective information and training for using chemicals such as, but not limited to, corrosive cleaning chemicals. b) Maintenance employees do not receive effective information and training for fumes and dusts produced during welding, cutting and grinding of metals such as carbon steel and galvanized metal as well as hazards associated with shield gasses used.
