Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 006A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(q)(1): Any power-operated industrial truck not in safe operating condition shall be removed from service. All repairs shall be made by authorized personnel. The employer does not ensure forklifts not in safe operating condition are removed from service. This violation was observed on or about September 30, 2016 at the facility. An employee was exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling loads. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure forklifts not in safe operating condition are removed from service.
