Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 006A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.333(a)(1): Live parts to which an employee may be exposed were no deenergized before the employee worked on or near them: a) Airlay - On or about 03/08/16 and at times prior thereto maintenance employees were instructed to repair the 480 V electrical panels for the Laroche machine. The work was performed with the panel doors open, in close proximity of live parts. The equipment was not de-energized. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
