Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 006A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.179(l)(3)(iii)(d): Pendant control stations were not kept clean, and/or their function labels were not kept legible: (a) On or about January 21, 2015, in the north side of building #2 of the facility, employees were exposed to serious struck-by and or crushing injuries, in that the pendant control station for the Eastern Overhead Bridge Crane was being used in a condition whereby the function labels were in an unreadable condition. As a result, this condition could contribute to misdirection and or overall improper control of the Overhead Bridge Crane. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
