29 CFR 1910.24(i): Vertical clearance above the stair tread to an overhead obstruction was not at least 7 feet measured from the leading edge of the tread: a) Stockroom Overhead Platform - The employer did not ensure that the vertical clearance from the top tread of the fixed stairs to the overhead obstruction was at least 7 feet. The vertical opening (the doorway) measured 55 1/2 inches vertically from top to bottom. Employees were exposed to struck-by and fall hazards.
