29 CFR 1910.252(c)(2)(i): Mechanical ventilation was not provided when welding or cutting was done on metals not covered in 29 CFR 1910.252(c)(5) through 29 CFR 1910.252 (c)(12): WELDING AREA: On or about July 10, 2014, employees were directed to weld galvanized and stainless steel without having appropriate ventilation to minimize their exposure to welding fumes. During the initial walk-around, smaller welding areas (11 feet by 11 feet) were enclosed by welding screens thereby restricting air movement in those areas. There were no localized exhaust hoods or booths installed in any of the welding areas.
